Woven Fabrics
The simplest regular weave is formed in the following manner: Parallel yarns are stretched as the so-called wrap between two rigid bars and then grouped into even and odd rows. These two groups are alternatively raised by the weaver so that the weft can be inserted in between, perpendicular to the warp. Indigo uses this technique for many exotic products, such as shawls, stoles, sweaters, vests, and jackets. The unique element added to the regular weaving technique is the variety of yarns produced by Indigo. All yarns are hand spun. |
