Nazha uses a verity of tropical plants for dye. She collects them from her extensive gardens, reviving nearly forgotten recipes and experiments with natural mordents (substances to fix the dyes permanently to the fibre) and strange procedures (burying the threads or beating them).

A basic rule is not to use any heartwood to decimate nature but only branches.
